When you first activate Email2AT Classic, you should have two new Autotask User-Defined Fields added to your instance: the Account entity should have a User-Defined Field called Email2AT Domains, and the Contact entity should have a new User-Defined Field called Email2AT Addresses.

If your Autotask instance does not have these User-Defined Fields after signing up for Email2AT, you can easily add them. To create these User-Defined Fields, complete the follow steps:

  1. Login to Autotask as an administrator
  2. Open User-Defined Fields settings
    1. In the top-left corner of Autoatsk, hover the icon
    2. Hover Admin
    3. Click User-Defined Fields
  3. Create a new Account User-Defined Field
    1. In the top tab-bar, click Accounts
    2. Click New
    3. Complete the form:
      1. Name:
        Email2AT Domains
        • This must be entered exactly as it’s written. Email2AT looks for a User-Defined Field with this exact name
      2. Description:
Email2AT - List alternate domains for this account; include @ sign (@domain.com)
        • You can change this to whatever you’d like
      3. Field Type: Text (Single Line)
    4. Click Save & Close

  4. Create a new Contact User-Defined Field
    1. In the top tab-bar, click Contacts
    2. Click New
    3. Complete the form:
      1. Name:
        Email2AT Addresses
        • This must be entered exactly as it’s written. Email2AT looks for a User-Defined Field with this exact name
      2. Description:
Email2AT - List alternate addresses for this contact; separate with commas
        • You can change this to whatever you’d like
      3. Field Type: Text (Single Line)
    4. Click Save & Close
